I wear an old pair of lycra running pants, they are winter weight and double thick, work just as well as under armor, for about 20 bucks less. The under armor is great stuff, just crazy expensive.

hey Al i wear em and like i hardly ever get cold with them on and by them being tight its like another couple layers of skin....they will also keep you warm by getting the moisture away from your body....it will help....may not solve the entire getting cold think but it will surely help.

I use them almost all the time. I really like them with my only complaint being I sometimes get hot in them.

UA Cold Gear is probably one of the most amazing things ever invented! Good for the late season goose hunts!

The Under Armour stuff is good but yeah pretty expensive. i go with Nike Dry-fit and cold weather gear, keeps you warm and not bulky at all.

You can buy the stuff at WalMart for 1/2 the price and it works just as well. Some no-name deal but it works good. I just think th UA stuff is way overpriced and there are better alternatives out there. A pair of light fleece pants are my favorite under waders to stay warm.

Yeah I have some of that wallmart stuff, got it last year being closed out for $5. It works pretty good.

the ua works great as long as its over 20 degrees, but when its 0 and your in a layout not much is gonna keep you warm. but im glad i shelled out the money for it.

The biggest advantage that the Under Armour gives you is the moisture wicking. I have been on some "sweaty balls" hunts where it's a good, hard, 30 - 45 minute walk through mud and muck (up to your thighs) just to get to the spot, now factor in setting decoys, building a quick blind, etc. and you are on fire. And I can say, that the UA is fantastic when it comes to wicking the moisture away from your skin. I can literally go through all that, sweating like a champ, pull up the sleeve of my UA and my skin is completely dry!!! Keeping your skin dry is important, as the sweat and wetness will draw heat from the skin, and as you know make you colder.

Myself, once the weather is below 35 degrees....I NEVER leave home without it. It is definitely not a cure-all cold weather under layer, but I feel it serves its purpose for me. I would say, for me anyway, it was well worth the investment.

I like the U/A that I got on sale at Cabelas it was worth every penny, but some times it is a little hot. 8)
