Rookie Call tune ?

OK I bought a SMH and blew the pi$$ outta it for about 2 weeks. It was super easy to blow and it sounded awesome :?: . Now it seems the reed sticks often and its harder to make it sound,, like, well a goose.

Do they get outta tune just from running it like that or what? I didnt take it apart or anything stupid. Thanx Joe

Were you eating doughnuts again when you're calling??? Run some warm water through the call to wash out any possible debris. If it is still sticking on you...could be a couple of things. You may have developed your lung capacity and are now over blowing the call...meaning that now it needs retuned. The call may have come out of tune...but that is hard to imagine. You should atleast pull the insert out and check the reed....do not mess with the gut system...just take a good look at the reed - look for cracks, bubbles, etc.

For a start...Rinse it out...give her a good wailing and shoot me a PM. I may have you call me and blow it over the phone...if I hear it I may be able to tell better what the problem is. Worst case....send it to me with enough to cover return shipping and I will get strait for ya!!!!
