Anyone ever seen this happen before

We were waiting to launch our boat on Saturday and we were watching everyone get their boats in the water in front of us in line. The guy right in front of us was by himself and he backed his boat down and got it in the water enough to start up his motor. He then went and unhooked all of the straps and went to back it the rest of the way down. I dunno what he was thinking but didn't hook a rope off the boat or anything, he backed it on up and the boat slid right off into the fast moving current and all of a sudden he realizes his boat wasn't hooked up to anything and his boat was floating down the river with his motor running. Luckily some other person was able to get a hold of it a ways down stream before it crashed into anything. I felt bad for the guy not the way you want to start your morning.

Hahah he musta been having a bad day I could see this happening though hell I see people forget the plug plenty of times, you guys ever seen the bill dance clip when He forgets to unhook the boat from the trailer and starts driving the boat with the trailer still attached
