(Probably) Had a once in a lifetime experience out in the goose field today. Nothin was wanting to work all morning until about 15 let the air out and dropped the landing gear. But they were behind us! My uncle, dad, a buddy, and I all rolled and sat up on our knees when I called the shot. We dumped 6 dead and sailed two more out. All six that fell dead in about a 10 yard square were all sporting their Christmas ***elry!!! And one of the two cripples had a band. The only one that didnt have a band was the other cripple, which was a hutchy. I dont think I've ever been more pumped in my life. Should have photos for you boys in a week or two. I also shot a goose in Illinios Thursday that was bling-blingin'! Five this year for me!

a hutchey is a smaller goose, also called a "lesser canadian" if i am not mistaken, a "lesser" and a "hutchey are the same thing, hutchey is just the proper name for it... i THINK..

the first band I killed we dropped three birds and had a neck band and three legs. That is awesome though. Seven is incredible!

Man Miller I cant wait for you to bring the bands our way thursday! :D Can't wait to see where those birds came from. Birds back here have been kinda wierd. Saturday they wern't movin very much in the morning and yesturday the fog didn't burn off til around 1, had to listen hard and by the time you saw them they were right ontop of you. Hurry up and kill some more birds and get back here. I believe the push is happening this week alot of the birds that we hunted yesturday were wary of us, leading me to believe these birds are northern birds that have been hunted hard. We really tricked the birds on Saturday though. Can wait to pound them Thursday!

Yep boys we're gonna crank 'em a new *ss hopefully if you boys didnt burn 'em out too bad. I think if you let it cool off for a few days, those birds will be back in there again. Hopefully, we can get 1 flock in close and limit out on the first volley. Then we can get outta there and let them back in there and shoot them again Friday or even a few days in a row. The birds down here are learning the program quickly cause there's alot of hunters down around here. Heading to the river in the morning. Apparently there was guys burning the gun up in my uncle's blind today. If they're there in the morning, they're gonna have to pack it out cause its my uncle's blind. River is starting to open up. And my uncle has a 20 foot plate boat w/ a 50 hp merc on it so we should be able to jsut push right through whatever ice is left. Hopefully there's some ice around the blind to set up full bodies.

jordan you are sorta right....Hutchey is the improper name....they are known as Cacklers or like you said lesser Canadians they are a little bigger than a mallard.....actually a lot of people will mistake juvy giants as hutchies....if you put a giant and a hutchey next to each other you could totally tell the difference but they both are higher pitched compaired to the normal giants.....you will get giant flocks of these in Canada...most of he time they fly in their own kind but you will see em sometimes in with the Giants.....you will hear them in a flock of giants because they are very high pitched where obviously the giants are low and deep.

Congrats Kingkilla and IAwaterfowler88 on your bands. Its so awesome to pick a bird up and see that ***elry around their legs. Im sick of these leg bands, though. Im ready for a neck tube or two!! Just kidding I guess i can settle for leg bands! Good job iowamigra8tor to for getting 3 bands this year. But we're still gonna kill some more geese arent we boys. Maybe get a few more bands.

Yeah same to you guys. There's not too many young hunters out there like us, especially not very many that are as hardcore as we are. Glad to see some younger fellas that love it as much as I do. I was beginning to think I was gonna have to hunt with my dad and his buddies the rest of my life until they're strait old farts!
