go with the rem of these two. a kid i know got a stoeger for xmas and it is junk. it only shoots certain shells and then only when it wants to. get the 870 but not the new super mag or whatever they call it. i have heard lots of rem. fans say this gun is no goood.

Go wit the 870, I have one myself. I have had it for 15 plus years and never a problem with it. Bought my son a Stoeger, will not go there again. It is a POS. Also my buddy bought his son a Stoeger for Christmas, he has had problems with it as well. Haven't ran a box of shells through it and is having problems. GO REMINGTON!!!

just spoke 2 a rep at dicks sporting goods from stoeger , i told him i heard alot of bad about the gun and he said the only problem they are having is with the cyc of shells and that can be fixed buy removing one of 2 metal spacers at the end of the foreggrip , u think if they new the prob. they would fix it [ go with the 870 ]

If you have done any research. The Stoeger's have been having troubles since day one.

Two sides to every story. I had an 870 and it was crap. I bought the stoeger and have has zero problems. Only way I'll trade it in is to get a SBE2 so I can shoot 3-1/2" shells.
