DVD Burning Help

I have some home videos that I have made, and I want to put them on a dvd but I cant seem to figure out how to put a 2 hour video on a dvd without bringing down the quality, any help?

You need a high quality ( see expensive) conversion software. I have it, what format is the video in right now?
