There is no way Toyota should be in this sport or Craftsmen Truck Series.

Hendrick racing will now defentialy donmiate the sport its I think the best team in the history of the sport we may just see Jr. win the cup this year if he doesnt then it will be a team member
When hasn't Hendrick dominated??? I've been a Gordon fan ever since I was old enough to root for a team, and his stats alone blow anyone else's out of the water. I never disliked Dale Jr., but I never was a fan either and never will be.....but I am anxious to see what he will do with the backing of the best team out there.

Remember that next time you bring a gun into the pit or when your out driving, dont bring alcohol. It only takes one time for someone to get hurt or die. Theres a time and a place for all things, guns/driving and alcohol dont mix. The life you save might not only be yours but someone elses.

Can't take the heat, then get out. And your statements have gone from controlled drinking to maybe 1....funny how your opinion changes the moment we get after ya about something
I don't see anything wrong with having a brewski while out in the field. Why can guys justify when out ice fishing or stuff like that, but enjoying 1 cold one on a 75 degree day is a bad thing? There is a time and place for everything, the field is definetly not the place to see how many you can pound down, but 1 or 2 done responsibly, I don't see anything wrong with it personally............

Define control....
Well if the state law says no alchohol PERIOD with firearms, then I would say to obey it, if it says it is unlawful to use a firearm while intoxicated, then that is a whole different meaning. I am a pretty big guy and it would take me probably about 12 beers before I would say I am starting to get intoxicated....so 1 beer wouldn't hurt a thing....Would I do this if youths were hunting...NO, would I do this if the action was hot, NO....would I do this if it was early goose season and we knew we probably wouldn't even get to pick up our calls or guns because it was 80 out and bluebird skies, SURE

Better yet can FWS give a ticket for open container while hunting? There's an idea a tree stand with a drink holder.
I'm pretty sure an open container while hunting is illegal in MOST states, but not all surprisingly

I am a pretty big guy and it would take me probably about 12 beers before I would say I am starting to get intoxicated
I can guarantee no state law will allow you to have 12 beers and possesion of a firearm. I know here in OK a guy your size can maybe have 2 and pass a breathalizer. I am 150# and 1 puts me right at the legal limit. Does that make me drunk? NO but it does impair my abitlities, thinking and reaction time. Maybe somewhat lightly but that is all it takes to pull off of a bird before your barrel crosses your buddies face.
I don't get behind the wheel even after having 2 beers........so don't come at me dude, you don't even know me. I was merely saying that 1 beer to me has the EXACT same effects as drinking a glass of water. 2 beers, notta.....but that is where it would draw the line. Gee you can operate a car that is WAY more deadly and has the capacity to kill way more people, but yet you can't fire a gun?

not true... depends on type of beer, and where you get it at.
Grocery and convenience store beer is 3.2% Liquor store beer is normal amount.
Type of beer effects alcohol content as well. Your light beers are less then your normals. Here is a guide http://www.realbeer.com/edu/health/calories.php
Intoxication and influence are two different terms as well. It also depends on ones own interpretation of it. Unfortunately, the only you can measure intoxication is by ones Blood Alcohol Level (BAL). One can have a .092 BAL, pass a field sobriety test, and still get a DUI.
Don't confuse tolerance with intoxication.

I am a pretty big guy and it would take me probably about 12 beers before I would say I am starting to get intoxicated....
I know I am paraprasing your quote. And I'm not doing it to single you out at all.
Check this site out. http://depts.washington.edu/mcsurvey/bal/index.php You might be surprised to find out what your BAL would be after 3 hours. At 250 pounds one could have 8 drinks in 3 hours and be under the .08 level to legally drive. Any more than that, or any shorter of time and you're going to Jail.
Here is an interesting thing that some people will often overlook as well.
I go out at 250 pounds and have 12 beers with my buddies from 10 - 12. My BAL at 12:00 when I leave is 0.148. Any guess what it is at 5:00 when I drive to go goose hunting? I haven't had a beer in 5 hours. Guesses? Right around .07 depending on metabolism rate. That's walking the line for a dui and I would not have had a drink in 5 hours.
By no means does that mean intoxicated, drunk, sober, anything. It means you would have hit the max BAL level allowed to still be able to operate a vehicle here in Kansas.

i don't think it makes much sense you use the word "responsible" in a post when you are trying to justify mixing guns and alcohol....the only way to be responsible is to wait until you are out of the field and the guns are down to have some beer......just another post backing up all the politicians trying to take away our guns because of a few IRRESPONSIBLE rednecks

Lets ask the Vice President about having a beer and going hunting!!!

I don't get behind the wheel even after having 2 beers........so don't come at me dude, you don't even know me. I was merely saying that 1 beer to me has the EXACT same effects as drinking a glass of water. 2 beers, notta.....but that is where it would draw the line. Gee you can operate a car that is WAY more deadly and has the capacity to kill way more people, but yet you can't fire a gun?
im not coming at you. but i will not condone that kind of activity. you never know who you are influencing. you may inadvertenly teach some kid that it is ok to have a few and hunt. next thing you know my son somehow meets that kid and they are in the blind together. i dont even care to think about what could happen, but this is reality. and as real as it gets. also even thogh i dont know any of you personally i dont want to read about one of you in an accident (of any kind) that involved alcohol. it is just senseless.
So anyhow, How about the 500 coming up on Sunday?? Who does everyone thinks gonna win?
I'm predicting
1. Dale Jr
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Tony Stewart
4. Jimmie Johnson
5. Michael Waltrip
I can't wait to get this season underway!

yea I like Kasey Kahne too, when he was racing with the USAC Midget series he came to our hometown dirt track in Michigan and won at our track, we got his autograph and crap and never had any clue he would be in the big show. Pac NW has alot of good dirt drivers up there

BigR I can't see all 3 hendrick front runners in the the top 5 maybe 2 i'd rather see Jimmie and Dale.....Dale has been looking very good and as long as he doesn't get caught up in "the big one" he'll bring home a top 5 i like kasey and don't count out hamlin
Yea its a long shot, due to I Imagine there will be at least one wreck or problem that may collect one of them. I will say Johnson, Gordon, and Jr. in the top 10, mears in the top 25.....I think there will be some sleeper drivers that are coming out of no where with all the new changes.........I think Hamlin will be right up there too

All along I was under the impression these drivers did it all on there own. Seems like they have to be told when to wipe there ass.
You can be the best driver and have the best crew chief in the business, but if your spotter isn’t also at the top of his game, your success will be greatly lessened in many instances.
Frankly, there’s been few champions in Sprint Cup history who could have done it if they didn’t have a stand-out spotter perched atop the grandstands.
Two of the best in the business are Loren Ranier, spotter for third-year Cup driver Reed Sorenson, and Mike Calinoff, spotter for “rookie” Dario Franchitti.
Like they do for every Sprint Cup race, Ranier and Calinoff will both be atop the front grandstands for Sunday’s 50th Daytona 500, working to keep their respective drivers out of trouble and to finish the race in one piece.
“The first and foremost thing is to keep a driver safe,” said Ranier, now in his 20th year as a NASCAR spotter. “From that point, you’re trying to be a competitive tool, letting him know when he’s clear, if there’s something going on in front of him or letting him know if a certain line is moving, things of that nature.
“In layman’s terms, you’re riding shotgun, telling them to watch out for this or that.”
Besides talking to their drivers, spotters also regularly interact with their counterparts from other teams during a race, relaying messages from one driver to another, discussing when each of them is likely to pit and even working on developing drafting partners, particularly at Daytona.
“You may be relaying a message from one driver to another through the spotters,” Ranier said. “We do that all the time, especially if somebody’s mad.”
