Finally got my Dead Meat!

I finally got my Dead Meat for winning the call name contest. It was laying on the porch when I got home from work! :lol: I been wailing away on it ever since! My wife and neighbors are probably ready to shoot me by now! :lol: Great sounding call, I got a double reed to hunt with, so it is very ducky! A little tough to highball with with the double, but who cares it is awesome down low, and feed chuckles. Thanks abunch to Foiles and Kelly for the opportunity to name the call and for the great prize! And thanks to Jeff for engraving it for me.

I picked up a "Dead Meat" at WWII, and I've been wailin on it also. Got the highball just about down with it. Very ducky, yes. Gotta love it!

I'll post some pics as soon as possible, here in the next hour or so. I was surprised how much difference in it and my SMM, I really like it! It's going to be alot more versatile call. What colors are everybody's? Mine is all Ivory, and Jeff hand engraved the stainless barrel ring " Thanks for naming the new call,""Strait Meat"", Jeff Foiles". Pretty cool.

Mine is green and clear, double reed, awsome call.

Green insert/blue barrel. My SMH is just the opposite. I'll be buying my HPH in Clear/Black, i think. Or I'll go all blue or all green.

Smoke, if ya need help with controlling that urge to buy calls, you can always buy me a call......LOL.

Definitely a nice call! I would recommend it! Very easy to blow and very raspy and ducky in a double reed, gonna be a great hunting call. I though I would post a pic of my other Foiles calls, SMM, SMH.

Call # is 33, I didn't ask for any certain #, but I like 33, it's Larry Bird's jersey # 8) . He's a fellow Hoosier.

Yeah that would have been pretty neat! I really like the all ivory though, I didn't choose it necessarily, it was what they had available, but I really like it. I've been switching inserts and barrels in all my calls, to see what they sound like. That barrel design on the DM is really a big change from the SMM. I've got a single reed insert that I put in the DM, and I really like it! Easy to blow and I can really high ball on it! I may order a ivory single reed insert for it. I'm going to blow in a contest or 2 this coming season, and I think it will be a real winner. By the way, I changed my avatar, it's my youngest boy, we call him "Chig" or "Chigger", he's 2 1/2 yrs. old, and loves to blow his duck call!
