Just thought I would ask, I'm planning on trying to restore or have restored my grandfathers shotgun, only problem being is that it hasn't been made since before mankind so does anyone have any suggestions as to who I might contact for parts? It's a Neumann Brothers side x side 12 gauge.
Thanks.

Find the most reputable gunsmith around you.
I don't know of anywhere off hand. The Guy at Joe's Sporting Goods in St. Paul, MN is one of the best I know, but I'm not sure if he does restoring.

Some older guns, depending on age and manufacturer are best left in an unrestored state in order to preserve there value and historical significance. Just a though.

I feel the first thing you should look into is what are the proof marks on this gun. Is it damascus or fluid steel barrels, hammers. From there that might help you decide how far you want to take this project.
I have a Neumann Brothers 10ga Light House model 32" with a Vent rib. It's a nice shooter for gunning, loaded up with 1 1/8oz loads. Little hard to work in a sneakbox but it sure does bring back the Market Hunter days.

The gun has hammers and what I need is a set of barrells. Just want to make it operational again more for my own nostagia(??), not a super show piece.

Do you have the original barrels?
