I would say listen to nick since he's "native" to our country, but I should probably tell you instead,

I just got my SS a couple weeks ago and its hard to put down. Its super loud and can get quiet also. It'll be awsome for the windy days or long distance ducks. Im gonna try to get into comp callin with it, so far its the best one ive blown, 10x better then my MVP.

the strait street is great just like all these guys have said...the call can get loud enough for a comp. but its also very ducky and sounds great on the low end too...it is also very responsive...just ask Jason (SDMF) how he likes his, back to back Indiana State championships

Damn STRAIT! I love that call. It's taking me back to the Worlds this year.I really like the fact that I can lean on the SS as hard as possible and not worry about it stickin,or squealing. Very forgiving comp call IMO.Great volume as well.

Sticking, try roughing up the tone board a little w/ a finger nail file. If your squeeling then it might be one of two things; You might need a little longer reed or don't dog ear the corners as much as you would your hunting call. The other thing it could be is throat constriction. You could be tightening up your throat while calling which can make the call squeel pretty easily.

Well I don't squeal my RNT MVP ,but it does stick. And my SGC Black Widow doesn't stick ,but I been known to squeal every now and then on it. The worst of which coming in the third round of Mason Dixon, that really pissed me off. But that call just isn't set for me. I tuned up a strait street as hard to call with as possible and it still was squealing. And I had a flat reed tip.

I haven't heard a call that doesn't squeal at some point...I've even heard big Jimbo squeal a MVP.

I haven't heard a call that doesn't squeal at some point...I've even heard big Jimbo squeal a MVP.O yea I know. The one I have is set perfectly for me though. Never found a call that I can get perfect that doesn't lose some sound quality in doing so except this one.
