Guys i need some help with this one. Im new to training a pup and was having problem with her trying to get her use to her kennel. I got her in there and keep saying kennel. As soon I as shut the door she cried bloody murder. Today I put her in and left her to wine and she finally stopped. Is that how I get her use to it. I want to put her in there tonight to try and sleep. Last night I sucker in and put her in bed with me. How do I get her from wineing constantly.

maybe even letting your pup sleep with you will help her get a bond with you. which could possiby help you when it comes to obedience.

try feeding her in there sayin kennel every time you put the food in there this will help train her to like the kennel, as far as her at night just put her in the kennel when you go to bed and ignore her it will stop after a few nights. do not react to her in any way once she is in there for the night. also try to put aside a hour or two during the day for her to be in her kennel. just as befor dont pay any attention to her. if you pull her out of her kennel at night or during the day she will pick this up fast that all she has to do is cry and she will be takin out. i just got done training my 4 month old black lab and this is what i did and it worked great!! i hope this helps

She is 6 weeks old. I don't won't to piss the neighbors off for her being too loud.

6 weeks old? How long have you had this pup and is it even weened? One thing you can do is if your kennel training right from the word go is put an old shirt in the kennel that you've worn for a bit so the pup has a smell to associate with. The reason for the whinning is it was just taken from the mother, unless you have the mother and it misses her. Give it a couple days and that should stop, dont scold it that the worst you can do...

Good luck.

when i was training my pup she was doing the same thing everytime i put her in her kennel, i had bought a movie called water dog which each step to take to training your dog, i did what the movie told me to, when you put her in the kennel and she begins to whine grab her by the muzzle and say quiet, eventually she will understand, it took my pup about a week

Yesterday? Give it atleast a week to get used to its new surroundings and pay alot of attention to it. Its just homesick and missing momma.

just give it some time man. she will come around if you are patient with her. as far as the neighbors if the complain then you explain that what you are doing will only last a short while, but if you dont do it now the noise will last much longer.

I know she's just a puppy and wants to chew on everything in sight. is it ok to pop on the nose when she chews on something she is not suppose to and tell her no. as you can tell this is defently my first puppy. I didn't won't her picking up any bad habits. I got her in box right now trying to get her to take a break. I'll just let her cry herself to sleep. If Im doing anything wrong just let me know. so I know to correct myself

I started my dog off in a smaller kennel at night and brought it in the room with me. She cried all night for like 4 days before I did this and then didnt cry at all. Now she sleeps on my bed and hogs the whole thing, but that's another story. As for the chewing, I made sure there were plenty of toys for her to chew on and not get into trouble for. She is the only lab I've ever had that never chewed something of value.
Just my experiance.
