Depends on if you NEED comfortech or not. I have a regular nova and without the comfortech it still doesnt kick bad. So it all depends if you wanna spend the extra 100 or not.

I shoots a Nova and just shoot 3 1/2 all the time. Yeah the first shot kicks after that you don't notice anything. Just another day at the office..

i went w/ the Super Nova just because i felt like there was no need to beat the hell out of my shoulder if i didn't have to...but the Nova is a great gun...it just depends on if you wanna spend the extra $100 like someone else said

If this is going to be your go to gun for the next several years, I would spend the extra 100 bucks. But then again, if you are used to swinging a 26 lb gun a little kick shouldn't be a problem for ya. My brother got a Super Nova...very nice!!

Neither, if your going to buy a pump, go with an 870 Express 3 1/2 inch. Cheap, durable, dependable, great shooting gun.

you will never notice the kick when your shootin at a duck. You are just focused on the duck and feel nothing. I shoot a Nova and i have no probelm with recoil

Go with the Nova...I have one and i love it. I dont feel any recoil at all because i'm focused on shootin the bird.

I have two supernovas and I love them. Even if your shooting a heavy load you can shoot all day. The good thing about the compforttech is that it reduces barrell jump so you stay on the bird easier. I love my Benelli and i would get one over the nova.

thats kinda what I was thinking...it is easier to find a used 870 at a lower price though...the only difference in buyin a Nova over a Super Nova is the comfort tech stock...if you don't wanna spend the extra $100 for a Super Nova then get the Nova, or you could try to find a used Super Nova then you could maybe get one for the same price as the Nova...you're basically getting the same gun one just shoots softer than the other

its all shooters preferance,, 870 is an awsome gun,, ive owned one,, ive also owned a mossburg witch was my first unit,, i switched over to benelli on 9/11 thats the date i bought it,, it was quite weird to be purchasing a gun ,, then hearing over the radio of what tradgic thing was happening,, anyway i love my nova but am purchasing the supernova this year ,, cuz my gun is getting old,, but is still in awsome shape,, just time for an upgrade thats all,, i would recommend eather gun the 870 ex or nova/super,, their both great,, although will never recommend a new remmington rifle to anyone after paying $700 for 7mm and having the bolt blow out in my face and it taking them 7 months to replace it (thanks rem),, and telling me it was a defect in the gun,, although these guns are suppose to be tested...,, then my buddys trigger mechanisym locking on him and not allowing him to use the gun,, i have no hard feeling with rem cuz of this ,, but i will no longer buy or own a remmington again unless its a 6 year or older gun (remmington) when they still took pride in their guns and not getting cheap and selling these poorly made rifles just cuz it has remmington stamped on the side of it.

Finally someone agrees with me. Remington rifles are JUNK! in my oppinion>>> NEWER REMMINGTON RIFLES ARE JUNK<<<<< i have no problem with their oldschool rifles when they actually took pride in what they made,, it seems like their just throwing parts in a gun now without even checking them out,, in my oppinion i would never own another rem rifle,, unless it was a oldschool one.
