Hey Jeff or pro staffer's i just finished watching your falin' skies 3. Great waterfowling action! I just was wondering most of you guys seem to shoot the sbe II and looks like some where using a pattern master?? What type of chokes are you using in it and what are you shooting at those high honkers?? I also shoot a sbe II and just wanted to know, please and thanks!

I'm not prostaff, but Foiles uses only patternmaster tubes, I know alot of the guys use the extended tube with 3 1/2" BB. BB seems to me to pattern the best out of the extended tube. For ducks the standard tube with 3" 2's is the combo I think works best. Hope this helps.
I'm not a ProStaff but for geese I use a Winchester SX2 with a pattermaster choke. 3 1/2" Winchester Supreme BB's
Every gun needs patterned with different loads to determine what shoots best

thats why i was asking what jeff or some of their prostaff uses, i noticed in the video that most of them where shooting a sbe II and i wanted to know what shells they are using with their patternmasters through their sbe II's . I do thank you for your responses! Is there anyone out there that uses the a patternmaster with a benelli sbe II if so what shells do you run through it?? Please and thanks!

I do shoot a Benelli SBE 2, and it's what I use. Patternmaster extended for high flyers with 3 1/2 BB, Winchester Hi-Velocity. You better practice with it first though, it's tight, but when you hit them they're done.

hoosierhunter what do you like to use for ducks in terms of choke and shell combo.

For ducks, a regular PM is great, usually 2's, I don't use the close range tube, but it's alright, about 30 yds out max. Again you'll have to practice with it, the PM's are definitely a little tighter than a usual tube, but once you've got it you definitely kill more ducks.

I started shooting a pattern master last year and was very impressed. I used shot sizes ranging from #4 to BB. My kill to cripple ratio was impressive. Before I got my pm I used Briley extendeds. They were about half the cost of a pm tube and preformed well out to 40 yards. I do have to say for those longer shots that I take at my clients cripples the pm is the only way to go. Also a great tube for those spring snows!

i shoot a sbe i with a standard patternmaster. for shells i use winchester supremes. 3'' #2 for ducks and 3.5" bb for geese. i've killed geeses as far as 55 yards with these shells.

is there much difference between the standard and the extended pm in terms of performance? Does porting make much of a difference other then sound?

Usually with the ported it helps with recoil, but it is louder than a non ported. The extended is alot tighter than the standard, too much for ducks, you'll grind em up in the air.

the tip with pm tubes is to keep it under 1500fps ammo

Please explain this point you made if you could. I've herd the pm
s don't pattern well with fast steel. What is the load you've had the most luck with or should i say best results with. Please and Thanks!!

Best load is a handload right at 1475 fps or Winchester supremes with the PM tube with all the factory ammo we have tried.Best thing to do if you have this tube is just buy a few boxes or get about 5 shells of each load you wanna shoot from some friends if they will and pattern everything ya can thru the tube and the gun at 40 yards to see what is the best combo you can find.
