Foiles Duck Calls

I want to get a Foiles duck call, which call is best for my situation? I would be using it on anything from decent sized lakes to sloughs to small potholes and some flooded timber.

Also, what is supposed to be the difference between the TR and the new timber call coming out this summer?

I would suggest a DMM. It is a good all around call.

DMM is a good call for all situations...the TR would be good if you do a lot of close in hunting like you mentioned. Best bet would be to try them out and see what you like. I like the sound and range of my DMM. I might think about getting a TR in the future just to have a different sound.

Someone should answer your question about the new TR call...

i've got bolth but the DMM does get a little louder for the open water& gets as low as my T/R's i say get the DMM , i like the T/R better but thats because it suits my hunting styles better

I got a new DMM double reed recently! It rocks!

Get the DMM, I just picked up a single reed DMM and I think its great. I like the single reed better because its not as raspy. I also picked up a Meat Cutter Flute as well, but Its not easy to use, I still have some adjustments to make on it. Not as good as the SMH.
