Illinois Central Zone is Over.

Well closed out the Illinois Central Zone Goose Season today. Ducks closed yesterday, so naturally we had them landing in the decoys and swimmin around all day. Geese where flyin, and wanting to work, but I guess the last day got the best of our neighboring blinds, because they where skybusting just about everthing they saw, actually saw them shoot at a Gull. Needlessmto say, these guys educated some birds, and ruined the hunting for the blinds around them. The SMH was sounden great today, used it more than the Meat Cutter. Miserable out their too , Cold wet wind, they said the high was supposed to be 40 's, but I think they where wrong :twisted: . Oh well another Central closer, time to head south, se if we can't pick up a few more birds down their.

That is the most frustrating thing in the world when you have people out there that don't have what it takes to make the birds commit and end up Skybustin everything that might work for you. Some people just don't understand how smart these birds are. I have been to a public marsh before, had big fat greenheads working our spread they went around for one more pass to set into our spread and the people next to us(who hadn't shot all morning) skybusted them wounding one and not even goin after it. The hunters behind us went and retrieved the bird though so it didn't go to waste. I think that waterfowlers need to perfect their skills and kill birds not educate birds.
