Are you fella's seeing alot of birds Migrating back North in yor area. Ive seen ton's of Canada Geese and Tundra Swans and Ducks around here in ( Canada just across the border from Detroit ).
Went for a ride today and seen a small 20 acre field completly full of Tundra Swans, was't a spot in the field without a swan in it. Canada's everywere as well, its funny how smart these Honkers are. Today I watched geese walk into fence rows and outside edges of bushes to eat. You dont see that during the hunting season. Seen hundreds of birds also walking in the yards of Farmers houses, a couple with neck collars too. Again you dont see that very often. Birds sitting down eating grass in the back yards. Should be a good season next year, good population of birds.

im in delaware and most of the birds are gone. All ya see now are mostly pairs and small groups. Proububly residents. Most of the migrators have left. Very depressing

Majority of birds have left MD as well. A few small flacks and pairing up like a mutha. Not depressing, I hope they make tons o' new ones for next season.

In central missouri we have a suprising number left working down by the missouri river. But i have seen hundreds of thousands of snows going back up lately. If only the migration hit us sooner and more constantly this year like it did after season :x

just saw a bunch of swans flying over my house and a few ducks and geese. I almost got the ducks to land since i was just heading out to the garage to practice calling. They buzzed my field then took off.

i didnt really think about this earlier, but we still have a ton of ice here it was really cold for a couple of weeks, so the birds probably didnt come through here, we had like 15in. of good ice on most of our lakes. we did have a couple of flocks of sandhills come through though.

here in upstate ny the birds are dumping in pretty heavy, seems like birds are everywhere, this past weekend my buddies and I were in my back field shooting skeet and messing around with the calls, when we were done we were out in the middle of the snow covered field plain as day picking up our hulls, and a flock came over we started honking at em and before we knew it they were cupped and started circling us, it was sweet, we are planning on doing the same thing as mike77 is going to do, set up and call those things right on top of us
every open pond along I-90 and lake erie in ohio is loaded with divers, also saw a story somewhere about thousands of cans & redheads found dead on shorres of st. clair. thet dnr said it was because of a double in bird populations due to warm weather.

Thought I'd give a word on the duck and geese here on the east coast. The canada geese and mallards just arrived in Sussex NB yesterday. I was talking to a friend of mine and he said there are at least a thousand geese in town and lots of big greenheads. We do alot of hunting in that area and I think I might drive down on the weekend just to take alook and dream for fall.

The migration started for us about 3 weeks ago, so I'm not sure if they're migrators or just residents but I've got about 300-500 geese roosting in flooded corn behind my place. Too bad it's not November.
