Good News for Mississippi Flyway...

IDNR has posted the 2006 Spring MVP Canada Geese Surveys, and Numbers are up. Granted these numbers are preliminary and things could change, but it looks like we should have plenty of birds for next season in our flyway. Here is the link if anyone is interested.

Yeah, I get emails from DU and the last one was talking about the spring hatching conditions throughout the entire Mississippi flyway and it is good to excellent allover northern Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and central Canada. Cant wait.....early season is almost two months away. But I do hate rushing the summer away....plenty of fish to be caught!!

yeah i seen that for next year, i could tell we were gonna have a lot of them cause in my area we have tons of geese, more than we normally do right now, so yeah next year is definately is gonna be a good year, lets just hope our season doesnt get shut down a month ahead of time cause of the quota here in central zone

i thought they were gonna go with a no quota and let the zone run its full length this year???

yeah thats what ive heard on the quota also, but it was a proposal and they had the meeting i think a few weeks ago and i havent heard bout what happened, they talked about changing the zones, there was 6 proposals on zones and the proposal on the goose quota and bag limits, but havent heard anything hopefully it turns out good

yes cause theres nothin better than a field stacked with a 1000 geese and nothing you can do about it. :?
