Well it was a last minute decision, but we decided to head back out to SD for a couple days...

With most the crew needing to be home for Easter, as well as myself, we decided we would head out to hunt Friday, and Saturday till noon, but we NEVER thought it would end up like this!!!

1st sneak Friday morning....8 guys, 93 birds!

if you say its 93 and 64 than it is... i've seen that many dead birds before and it didn't look like that. im not trying to start a pissing contest.

Sounds like you are trying to start a pissing match. :?

I have never seen that many birds piled up in person so I can't say. But if you figure each of the 4 guys are holding 10-12 birds each, that's 40-48 which is about half of 93 and it looks like the other half is lying on the ground in the big pile.

Way to go Mike. My dad's group killed 40 outta the decoys Saturday.

Blah Blah Blah Blah.....let it go. That's about all you have done since you've been here is start pissin matches. Birds in a pile like they are, aren't the easiest to count.

Nice shootin Cluck!

That's not hunting, it's ditch piggin'...it's kind of like snagging is to fishing...

for some guys it can result in some big numbers and help thin the herd if it is done right...it ain't for everybody.

I'd rather they all make it back to the nesting ground and hatch up a nice big batch of juvies for next year...

I see your point! And I too have some of the same feelings, but with the juvie hatch soo low as it is now, decoying isnt going to solve the over population... we have decoyed this year, and I know lots of guys that do, but when your average say 5 birds a day...the job isnt getting done.

We didnt shoot a goose out of a ditch ALL year, all the birds we got were either dekin or using cows....

We have about 425 snows in the freezer, and it is time for the birds to come to us!

Jumpin the adults and deking the juvies is the way we go at em! And I feel is prolly the best way to solve the population problems! 8)

My .02 cents

10-4. This was a tough year for decoying birds for sure...
