View Full Version : Beginning Waterfowler

My daughter and I just finished our first year of waterfowling. Although we were only able to get out into the field 37 days last year, they were some of the best days we have ever spent together. While our experiences are limited, our post-season discussions have revealed that we both prefer hunting geese. We have the Video "Calling Geese, the StraitMeat way", and the CD "Strait Meat Sounds". But does Foiles Migrators have any videos that show Honkers being called into the blind? Watching the birds work and listening to the calling at the same time would be very beneficial to us. Any other helpful tips would be appreciated.

Fallen Skies 1, 2 & 3 are all excellent!
Rock on, One over the limit, and many more! every movie Foiles Has put out is awsome!

Kelly's video Goose hunting 101 the art of war, is a good video for a beginner, he goes over decoy use, blinds, call tuning, and a variety of other basic principles, not a lot of calling advise though, but otherwise a good one for someone starting out. You can order it thru the Foiles store online.

Calling Geese 2.0 I beleive has a lot of what your looking for.

Calling Geese 2.0 is definately worth buying, it has a ton of good info, and is still entertaining. I would also recommend the Falling Skies series, as they will get you even more psyched up for next season, and they show a lot of birds coming in as the guys are calling and killing.

Thanks for all the input. Ordered all 3 Falling Skies last night, and called the office today to have Goose Hunting 101 and Calling Geese 2.0 added to the order.

BUTT....BODY....BEAK...."BANG" Will definitely be used next year.

Sounds like you have a bit of father daughter time watching all those videos coming up. the Fallin' Skies will definately get you both pumped up for the fall.
