The Benelli fits me better, and The SBEII is my next firearm purchase, I have a couple of novas I shoot currently. The Beretta is nice, but I am a Benelli guy.

No doubt Benelli for me they definetely fit me better I own a Nova and SBE, I don't like the long forearm on the Beretta. I think both are good guns it's all in the fit for me.

Speaking from experiencing both I would say the SBE2! I owned a Beretta extreama for one year(I couldnt justify the $$$ the year prior). It is a nice gun but too bulky. The SBE2 shoulders nicely and shoots great. First Time out of the box on the Skeet Range shot a 23!

I would take either one. But myself as well I'm a benelli person and I like the super black eagle a lot. Just the way it set up is amazing as well as the M-2.

Another vote for the Benelli here. :D I shoot a SBE 2, it's light and handles nice. Cycles very fast! It fits me great! I'm sure the Beretta is a nice gun, but one thing to me was that it was big and bulky for me that is. Definitely not a gun that I would buy, but that's me.

Another vote for the sbe II. I shoot the sbe II and it's such a great gun, fits great shoots any shell I put in it. The Beretta for me was a little bulky and on the heavy side, I even like the new I-12 by franchi better then the beretta extrema. I'm sure beretta's are great guns but my choice came down to fit and feel and it looks pretty sweet too and that's why i picked the sbe II and wouldn't change a thing!!

That was a BIG plus on the beretta's, they break down easily for cleaning.

I think I said this in a previous topic about Beretta VS Benelli. 500 years of experience can not go wrong! I love my Xtrema. I do not understand why everyone thinks they need a light weight fast gun to shoot honkers? The extera weight makes you much smoother in the swings and helps you follow through. Almost foregot, Beretta owns Benelli.LOL :P

I HAVE A BRETTA AND A BENELLI .THE BRETTA IS A AWESOME GUN BUT MY BENELLI CYCLES THORW FASTER. ONE THING I LIKE ABOUT THE BRETTA IS THE LONGER FOR ARM.

Been shooting a black synthetic SBE with a 26 inch barrel and just love it. I can depend on this gun anytime. If its dirty and I didnt have time to clean it, I just pull the bolt back and spray oil down into the recoile part and work it back and forth a few times. If it was closing slow at all, that will fix a slow cycling problem temporarily. Personally, I only take it apart a few times per year and I probably get out hunting at least 50 or 60 days a year. Love that gun. Killed 5 banded honkers with it this year!!!!!

Honestly, i would go with the SBE. I have one and they are awesome guns. If you do by one top it off with a patternmaster and you are set and you will hit ducks and geese better than ever. :D

I own the SBE 2 and the main difrance is the inertia oporating system is by fair the cleanist and smoothist oporating system on the market that combine with the comfert techsystem wich reduces recoila and that lets get on the next bird after the fist shot faster than ever before. The new crio choke system alows the beneli to shoot a nice tight patern at about 40 yards depending on shot size and type. Bereta is still useing gass oporation that also means the bereta is a larger and hevier gun than the beneli but acording to bereta there gun has a lighter recoil than the beneli but i dont know if thts true or not . But thats just wat the Beneli sales force says yet I personaly think there right but thats just my opinion.

The first several replies began to worry me. Glad to see there are some Beretta fans out there. I have an Extrema 2 and love it. I will say though, when I picked up an SBE II, it felt so good that I questioned whether or not I bought the right gun. That is the nature of the beast with "gear queers" like all of us. Both are top knotch guns and you can't go wrong with either, mechanically speaking. I like the idea of owning a Beretta; that's me. If your torn between the name thing I would go with which one feels the best in your hands.
Lincoln or Cadillac; Mustang or Camaro; Ginger or Marianne; Veronica or Betty. At this level it's all personal preference.

Used to have a Urika and just upgraded to the Xtrema2.
Seems Beretta combined some of the best features and actually listened to customer feedback. Check out this video clip for cycle action.

both are exceptional guns... if i were sitting in a field blind i'd rather be sporting the beretta because is kicks less and is slightly more heavy which is nice for greater accuracy. the benelli is great for when you have to walk in a ways and can be used for uplanding uphunting as well... i have both and wouldn't trade either!

I shoot a Benelli SBE with a Patternmaster. My recoil spring rusted on me a few years back and had to replace it with a Sure Cycle. I always had the butt of my gun sitting in 4" of water. I have to stay on top of it and keep it clean or it will jam. I don't know anything about the SBE II other than I want one. And I want to go to Canada again but I cannot afford it this year.

I like the benelli, I got an SBE 2, and what I like the most besides the comfert tech recoil reduction is the the gun is light and feels like a 20 GA but clearly shoots the 12 GA round. this is great if i have to carry the gun long distance to the blind .
