Glad to hear that Gooser! My little girl got some immunization shots yesterday and now has a fever. :( Happy to hear all is doing well, including the pup. Are you going to do your own training?

I am still up in the air with the training thing, I would like to, but I keep thinking how much better the dog would probably turn out if I had Dennis do it. We have been working on the early stuff and he is doing pretty good with the obedience.

To do it yourself, takes alot of commitment (time), it has to be consistent and repeatitive. I had my dog trained, I took a real honest look at if I could devote the time to do it, and I knew that I wouldn't really, I wish that I could have, but honestly knew that I wouldn't, so that's why I sent mine to be trained. With a professional trainer to get him to the point where he is obedient, steady, retrieves, marks, and hand signals (blind retrieves), multiple marks, etc. (in other words ready to hunt test), it was 9 or 10 months. It was alot of money, but in the long run well worth it to have a dog that is completely trained. I still work him regularly and keep him current so to say, but I don't have to worry with the training aspect, it's nice. But if you can honestly devote the time to do it yourself, and have the knowledge, it would definitely be a rewarding experience. Good Luck!
Hey Jeff, Congrats on your new additions. I have been gone for a while, have some catching up to do. Just wanted to drop a line. :)

Hey Aja3, been a while, how you been?
Pretty good, just starting to get ready for the upcoming season. I did get a new shotgun for the upcoming season. I won a Bennelli Nova Pump in Max4 at a DU Banquet, that was pretty cool. How is life with your new one, well, I say new but you know what I mean. You have had busy few months lately. One day I am going to have to plan to come over there and go to one of the many functions that you all seem to run there.

Aja3, Things have been good, been busy getting ready for the upcoming season myself, buying new decoys, finishing up the boat rebuild, oh and spending time with my rather large family and new lab pup. Congrats on the Nova, I have a couple of them and really like 'em.
as far as the new little one, I couldn't really ask for a better baby, she is great, sleeps through the night, and is pretty darn cute, too (biased  )
Have a good one.
How is the rebuld coming, I remember you asking people for information and never really heard how things were going. Hey, quick question, have you ever done any hunting in North or South Dakota for waterfowl, my buddy and I have been thinking about a trip that way next year to try it out, just curious if you have any input.
