Competition Insert Requires more air and is some what more difficult to blow. I always suggest a SMH but the MH is a great call to. One thing is if you get everthing down on one of the calls it all transfers to everything except the flute. I have a SMH now but am thinking about addin a MH to the lanyard also. I wouldnt worry about the comp. insert until you have everthing down solid. Either way you go you are going to have an awsome call just make sure you know how to use each and everyone of your calls. Each call is a tool and you have to know how to use those tools properly. I would say in the end you will probably have both of them because it is an addiction, I started a year and a half ago buyin these things and I now have 5 and am working on a 6th. Blow each one of them and then make your decision, if they have multiple SMH's or MH's blow each one because tuning can make al the difference even thought you can tune them how you like. I say this because I went to cabelas and they had all their calls tuned so hard that I could barely blow them, I came home and blew one at a local retailer and it was alot easier. Ya just have to see for yourdelf. Just my .02 cents.

Im on the prostaff but I am not a green wing i'm just regular prostaff and If you want to be on the regular prostaff you need to win 2 state comp's but you could join as a green wing and work your way up. do what ever feels right to you. you might want to try comp calling it's realy fun and it keeps the sport of waterfowl hunting alive all year long.just my 2 cents
