My name is Dominic Hébert and I'm 38 years old. I live in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada. I'm a french elementary teacher and I work for my Teachers Union.

I grew up hunting ducks on the Lake St-François in Quebec, Canada, an area rich in decoy carvers tradition.


I was lucky to be introduced to the sport at a young age and the passion has stuck with me ever since. My dad Claude started me out hunting at age 10. Since this time hunting and fishing was a way of life growing up for me. I have been hunting waterfowl for 28 years now.


Here in Quebec I can hunt in different situations. Different birds are available all season long like puddlers in marsh, geese and snow geese in field, divers in open water, and many more from september to december. I love to hunt ducks and geese, primarily Canada's and Mallards.


In 1999 I entered in my first calling contests and I won the duck and the goose contest the same day.


I’m a Foiles Migrators Acrylic Duck and Goose Calls Gold-Staffer. I joint the Team “Strait Meat” in 2002. This association with Foiles Migrators Acrylic Duck and Goose Calls is the best thing that happen to me in my calling career. I met many nice persons and I put my calling in an higher level with this awesome calls. The Strait Street helped me win the 2002 Canadian Master Champion of Champions.


Now with some calling contest titles in my pockets I give many calling lessons and calling seminars in Quebec all year around. I made my own DVD (in french) about duck and goose calling technics in 2008.

I'm with Big Foot Decoys since 3 years as a Pro-Staffer!


I'm a volunteer for Canards Illimités Canada (Ducks Unlimited Canada) since 13 years.


Also I’m the waterfowl hunting specialist for Mr Patrick Campeau hunting and fishing writer for the Journal de Montréal (1,300,000 readers).


Finally I’m the president-founder of the Association des Sauvaginiers du Suroît founded in march 2008.
